On a more positive note...


I just figured one of the blocks before me and the ledge grab mechanic, which is that I noted chibi wasn't hanging at the same height of the platform every time, this is due to her velocity and how the game is rendered; like say gravity is 400 pixels, so that means she's being pushed 400 pixels every frame, but the game can only check for collision 60 times each frame, so depending on how, from where and how far you are from the platform when jumping, the frame that catches the collision is different every time; but that part has been mostly figured out.


As I've said previously, next is making it so if she climbs into a 1 tile gap she goes into crawl automatically, that's the next challenge, how to manage the collision boxes and prevent clipping into the ground and softlocks.

Lovely to see there's still progress being made on this. I don't watch closely, but I do still check in time to time; the art for this game is very attractive and the gameplay is respectable.
